Privacy policy

Toronto Trading Academy ("we", "us") respects your privacy and treats your personal information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, where applicable, provincial privacy legislation.

What we collect

When you register or use the academy, we collect:

• Account information: name, email address, password (hashed), province of residence.
• Learning information: courses started, lessons completed, quiz attempts, time on lesson.
• Payment information for unlock purchases (processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card number).
• Technical information: IP address, browser type, device class, referring page — used for security and basic analytics.

How we use it

• To deliver the courses and remember your progress.
• To send you account messages and (only if opted in) weekly lesson summaries.
• To investigate fraud, abuse and security incidents.
• To improve the academy through aggregated, anonymized analytics.

We never sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.

How we store it

Your information is hosted on infrastructure located in Canada and the United States. Payment data is processed by Stripe (Stripe Payments Canada, Ltd.) under PCI DSS. Backups are encrypted at rest.

Your rights under PIPEDA

• Access — request a copy of your personal information.
• Correction — ask us to fix anything inaccurate.
• Deletion — close your account and remove your data.
• Complaint — escalate to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Cookies

We use one essential cookie for login, and one optional analytics cookie that you can decline on first visit. No third-party tracking cookies are set without your consent.

Children

The academy is intended for adults aged 18 and over and is designed specifically for Canadians aged 50 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Updates to this policy

If we change this policy, we will email account holders at least 14 days before the new version takes effect.
